All of our servers are connected to three different networks – the public network (Internet), a private network, and out-of-band management network. These networks are fully independent. Both private and public networks are L3 fabrics.

Our free global private network connects three continents with 20 Gbps to each dedicated server. The private network is protected on both physical and logical levels to ensure the fastest and safest data transfer. GPN allows our clients to organize the interaction of their servers without the use of additional tunneling and VPNs. Traffic in the private network is free.

Servers.com allows you to have additional IP networks (blocks of IP addresses) bind to your bare metal servers. The primary use for additional networks is server virtualization, where a single bare metal server hosts multiple virtual machines that require their own IP addresses accessible from the Internet and/or our Global Private Network.

"Direct connect" is a service allowing you to set up a dedicated network connection from your premises or another service provider to Servers.com. A private connection can increase bandwidth throughput and provide a more consistent network experience than Internet-based connections.

A number of network routes may be configured on your dedicated or virtual servers aside from the default gateway. All those routes end up in the private network.
